You can cancel any settlement run in Ascend AP with a Pending status and whose cancellation period has not ended. Your organization sets cancellation periods during onboarding.
You must cancel the Settlement Run in Ascend AP and your Workday instance. Make sure you cancel in Ascend AP first to stop the payment.
If you don’t cancel in Ascend AP before your cancellation period ends, your payment will not be stopped. Contact Ascend Support if this happens.
To cancel a settlement run:
- Go to Payments > Settlement Run Activity.
- Click the details icon next to the Settlement Run you want to cancel.
- Click the Cancel button. This button is only available if the settlement run is pending and your cancellation period has not ended yet.
- Click Yes, Cancel Settlement Run to confirm that you want to cancel. This stops the payment.
- Go to your Workday instance, and cancel the settlement run in Workday.
It’s important that you also cancel the settlement run in Workday so that the invoices in the settlement run are not marked incorrectly as paid. You can’t create settlements for paid invoices.
Cancelling an existing Settlement Run is a permanent action. If you cancel a Settlement Run, you must create a new one to pay your suppliers.
